September 1, 2021 – Feature Release Notes
Up to 1 hour of downtime anticipated between 20:00 and 21:00 PT (23:00 and 24:00 ET)
New + Improved
WMS-11046 – SmartScan: Updated the Receipts module to prevent you from adding inactive SKUs to receipts. This change makes SmartScan consistent in behavior with the WMS, which also prevents you from adding inactive SKUs to receipts.
WMS-16287 – SmartScan: Updated all Pick processes—including Single-Order, Multi-Order, and Pick-to-Bin—to support scanning UOM-based UPCs to increment quantity. Now, you can use the SKU/UPC field to scan any UPC value configured for that item to both identify the item to pick and increment the quantity based on the unit of measure associated with the scanned UPC. Note that this functionality requires the customer setting "Allow duplicate UPC values" to be disabled.
WMS-16289 – SmartScan: Updated the Move Item feature to recognize UOM-based UPCs when scanning to identify the SKU to move. Note that this functionality requires the customer setting "Allow duplicate UPC values" to be disabled.
WMS-16290 – SmartScan: Updated the Lookup Item feature to support scanning a UOM-based UPC to identify a SKU. Note that this functionality requires the customer setting "Allow duplicate UPC values" to be disabled.
WMS-16291 – SmartScan: Updated the Audit module to support scanning UOM-based UPCs to identify a SKU to count in the audit. You can also scan UPCs to increment quantity as it is being counted. Note that this functionality requires the customer setting "Allow duplicate UPC values" to be disabled.
WMS-16791 – SmartParcel: Updated the Small Parcel Suite to prevent timeout errors from occurring when attempting to void shipping labels.
WMS-17988 – SmartScan: Added support for USPS and FedEx tracking numbers for identifying an order to pick. These carriers' tracking barcodes include internally used data, in addition to the actual tracking number. USPS tracking barcodes use a standard GS1 barcode format while the FedEx tracking barcode is a custom format.
WMS-18045 – SmartPack: Updated the 'Qty 1 pack' selector to be a checkbox rather than a toggle.
WMS-18136 – REST API: Updated the rels/order/import endpoint to support the inclusion of a package definition when importing an order into the WMS.
Fixes
WMS-17691 – SmartParcel: Resolved an issue where rate shopping in the Pack and Ship dialog and selecting USPS First Class Mail caused the system to select a random service for this carrier.
Note:
This only impacted orders for customers that have Stamps.com specified as their 'USPS Third-Party Connection' in Small Parcel Settings.
As a part of this fix, we added the "First Class Mail" ship service and updated the existing "First Class Large Envelope or Flat" and "First Class Package Service" service names. If you have one or more orders with these ship services selected on September 2, you must select the updated service names on the order(s) to prevent an error from occurring when attempting to print labels. You can do this by selecting the orders from the Find Orders or Small Parcel grid, clicking Manage > Edit Shipping Info, then selecting the updated 'Service' from the drop-down list.
WMS-17970 – Create/Edit Order: Addressed an issue where it was possible to double-click 'Mark as Complete', which resulted in an error message. Now, the system ignores multiple taps of the button to prevent this error from occurring.
WMS-18261 – SmartParcel: Corrected an issue that allowed you to use high-volume processing (HVP) to print shipping labels even HVP wasn't enabled for your account.
WMS-18459 – Create/Edit Order: Resolved an issue in the Custom Order Info section of an order, in which the Delete button would remain active even when all custom fields had already been deleted.
Known Issues
WMS-18666 – SmartParcel: We are aware of an issue that occurs when auto rate shopping from the Small Parcel homepage (via Manage > Shop Cheapest Rate), where if the system selects USPS First Class Mail based on your configured rate shopping rules, a random USPS service will be selected instead.
Note:
This only impacts orders for customers that have Stamps.com specified as their 'USPS Third-Party Connection' in Small Parcel Settings.
