March 2, 2022 – Feature Release Notes
Up to 1 hour of downtime anticipated between 20:00 and 21:00 PT (23:00 and 24:00 ET)
New + Improved
WMS-6110 – SmartScan Receipts: Added support for "blind" ASN receipts. When enabled in a customer's setup, SmartScan does not display any information about the expected contents of the ASN. Users scan items, track-by's, and quantities normally, then SmartScan compares the actual data against what was expected for the purpose of identifying variances, which are still displayed to the user when they review the ASN after receiving is complete.
WMS-19542 – SmartScan Pick: Updated the "single-order pick" feature to use a new code framework that provides the ability to share software components between the various SmartScan modules. This new framework is already used by the Receipts module and the new Load-Out feature and will roll out to all modules over time. The updated framework does not change functionality in any way.
WMS-19751 – Classic Mobile: Disabled access to the Classic Mobile scanning application to comply with our latest security standards.
WMS-20424 – 3PL Settings: Updated the label for mobile settings under Admin > Settings to read "SmartScan" with the retirement of the Classic Mobile scanning application.
WMS-20490 – SmartScan Pick: Improved the pick item sort to more accurately sort the rows in the pick item grid by location. The prior sort mechanism used a basic string sort that was poorly suited for the way location names are a concatenation of multiple fields. The new sort accounts for this and much better orders pick items based on location name.
Fixes
WMS-20603 – SmartScan Pick/Pack: Resolved an issue when scanning a tracking number to identify an order for picking or packing, in which an error was thrown if the tracking number applied to multiple orders.
WMS-20621 – SmartScan Pick: Addressed an issue in the Pick SKU dialog where the "Location/Movable Unit" field was always marked with an asterisk as if it was always required, which is not always the case. We also updated the behavior of the page to bypass this field if neither of those values are present on the pick item. In this case, focus will move directly to the SKU field to prevent you from having to tap to move focus. Finally, if both locations and MUs are disabled for the current customer, SmartScan now hides the field to simplify things for the picker.
WMS-20634 – SmartScan Move: Corrected an issue where it was possible to use Move Movable Unit to move inventory into an inactive location.
