Warehouse Productivity Dashboard FAQs
This article answers the most common questions we receive about our Warehouse Productivity Dashboard, which is currently in beta.
Who can view the Warehouse Productivity Dashboard?
The Warehouse Productivity Dashboard is designed for warehouse operations staff. Users with a “warehouseadmin” role will see the menu option by default. Access can be granted to additional users by adding the following permission to their user role in 3PL Warehouse Manager: Users > Manage Roles: Data Insights Module > Operations Dashboards > Warehouse Productivity.
Currently, this dashboard cannot be viewed by customer users. A future add-on product will include the ability to share access to dashboards with customers.
How do I configure and interpret the dashboard data?
All dashboard data is based on events that happen in 3PL Warehouse Manager, SmartScan, and Small Parcel Suite, so no configuration is required beyond applying the various filters at the top of each dashboard sheet to refine the dashboard data.
To learn how to interpret the data, please see Understanding the Warehouse Productivity Dashboard.
Can I share the data on this dashboard?
There is no way to export the full dashboard in this version. Data in the table visuals, such as the Order Details tables, can be exported to Excel or CSV. A future add-on product will include the ability to share access to dashboards with customer users, export, and schedule email delivery.
Can I customize the dashboard?
Not currently. A future add-on product will enable you to customize and author dashboards.
What about inbound productivity and other warehouse operations?
We started with outbound productivity based on customer priorities, but we plan to add basic dashboards for inbound productivity and other operational areas.
How do I refresh the data in the dashboard?
The data on the dashboard does not refresh automatically. To refresh the dashboard data, you can change any filter (and change it back if needed), close and reload the dashboard, or navigate to a different sheet and return to your original sheet.
Why can I only see today’s data? What about historical data?
This dashboard is designed to provide insights about the current day’s operations. A future add-on product will provide historical data, trending data, and KPIs over periods of time.
Why aren’t you showing any outbound fulfillment KPIs like pick-to-ship time and on-time ship rate?
This dashboard is designed to provide insights about the current day’s operations. A future add-on product will provide historical data, trending, and KPIs over periods of time.
Can I view the dashboard on my tablet or smartphone?
Yes. The dashboard is mobile-responsive and will adjust to the display on your tablet or smartphone.
Why don’t the order counts in the Warehouse Productivity Dashboard match Find Orders?
The data displayed on the Warehouse Productivity Dashboard originates in the 3PL WHM transactional database and travels through a data pipeline to the new data platform. This data sync time through the pipeline causes some delay, so recent order counts may not match. Eventually, all the data gets to the data platform and is typically synced within around 10 minutes for visuals that require a more current view of data and 1 hour for visuals that do not require near real-time data.
To learn more about sync time, see Understanding Dashboard Sync Time.
How current is the data on the dashboard?
Most of the visuals in this dashboard utilize the most current data synced in the data pipeline, which is typically about 10 minutes delayed. Some visuals that display data from earlier in the day or previous days use data that is delayed by 1 hour.
For more information, see Understanding Dashboard Sync Time.
Why are some of my customers not showing up in the Customer filter?
The customer and other filters are populated from orders that are being returned from the dashboard query. If you don’t have orders from that customer that are currently in an Open or Complete state, then that customer will not show in the filter.
Why is the carrier information for some orders showing up as N/A?
The Carrier filter and Orders by Carrier visual is based on the Carrier field in the order. If a carrier has not been designated in the order, even if a carrier service is designated, it will not show in the filter and will show in the chart as N/A (not available).
How is order aging calculated?
Order aging is calculated from the time the order becomes fully allocated.
Why do some visuals say “Container is too small”?
If your screen resolution is lower than standard HDMI, or if you have resized the page horizontally, there may not be room to show the number in the top row of metrics. Try maximizing the width and using at least an HDMI resolution.
Why do some visuals say “No Data”?
The dashboard relies on data and events that come from 3PL Warehouse Manager, SmartScan, and Small Parcel Suite. Some visuals will show no data because no events of that kind have happened at that point. The Order Line Picking Pace by Hour and Order Line Picking Pace – Last Hour visuals will only show data if you are using SmartScan for picking.
