Rapid Receiving is currently only available in Sandbox as a closed beta. If you're interested in trying out this feature, please reach out to your CSM.

This article explains how to use Rapid Receiving in SmartScan to speed up your receiving and receive against ASN workflows by reducing manual input using pinned fields to scan items continuously. Read Receiving with SmartScan for an overview of how to receive with SmartScan.

Enabling Rapid Receiving in 3PL Warehouse Manager

Rapid Receiving is enabled at the customer level.

  1. Navigate to Customers > Manage Customers.
  2. Select the customer you want to enable rapid receiving for and click Edit.
  3. In the Receipts tab, check the box for Enable Rapid Receiving under the ‘Mobile Receiving (SmartScan)’ section.
  4. Click Save to apply your changes.

Set up Rapid Receiving in SmartScan

  1. Open a receipt using SmartScan
  2. Select or scan a line item.
  3. Tap the pin icon to lock field values for repeated use. This will keep those values the same the next time you scan that SKU.

Callout: Scanning a different SKU will reset the pinned fields. We recommend scanning all the same SKUs before moving on to the next SKU you’re receiving.
  4. Scan items to populate fields and process line items.
  5. When all required fields are completed, tap Done to complete the receiving process.

Using auto-add

Enabling auto-add lets you receive items quickly by automatically moving through the line item screens once all the required fields are completed.

  1. Open a receipt using SmartScan.
  2. Click on the ‘gear’ icon in the top right corner.
  3. Enable Auto-add items
  4. Select or scan a line item and set the pins for the fields you want to keep the same.

Pinning all the required fields will automatically disable auto-add. Unpin a required field to be able to enable auto-add again.

  5. Scan items until all required fields are populated.
  6. The system will save the line item automatically, close the screen, and open the next item to be scanned.
