Package Description for Mexico Shipments

Starting in April 2023, shipments to Mexico will require all shipments to, from, and within Mexico to include a Bill of Lading Complement (Complemento Carta Porte). This Bill of Lading must include a package description of the merchandise being shipped for each package. These values are different from the traditional customs information required for international shipments. 

To create this Bill of Lading, our integration with ShipEngine allows us to automatically transmit this data when you include a Package Description for your order. 

Instructions

 

  1. In Small Parcel Suite, click on the Pack and Ship button to open the Pack and Ship Orders screen.






  2. Click on the pencil icon to edit the contents of each package.





     
  3. Update the Package Description to include a description of the contents of the package.



 

You can dynamically include the Package Description during order creation. Please reference our API documentation on packages for further information:
