Batching Item Audits

The Batch Item Audit feature allows you to group multiple item-based audit jobs into a single batch. This streamlines audit workflows by letting you simultaneously complete several audits.

A batch is a collection of open audit jobs. You can create, edit, assign, and manage these jobs together until counting begins. Once a batch is started, it becomes locked for further changes.

Batches can be managed from the Audit Inventory page using the Batch menu. This menu appears above the Audit Jobs grid and in the right-click menu. It becomes active when you select one or more audit jobs in the Open status.

Only audit jobs with the status Open can be added to or removed from batches.

Creating and Managing Batches

Creating a Batch

  1. Navigate to the Inventory > Audit Inventory.
  2. Select one or more Open audit jobs that are not already in a batch.
  3. Select Batch > Create Batch.
  4. Complete the following fields in the Create Batch modal:
    • Batch Name (Required): The name must be unique.
    • Assign To (Optional): Assigns the batch to a user.
    • Priority (Required): Enter a priority value (default is 8).
  5. Select Confirm to create the batch.

Adding Jobs to an Existing Batch

  1. Select one or more Open audit jobs that are not in a batch.
  2. Select Batch > Add to batch.
  3. Choose an existing batch with all jobs still marked as Open.
  4. Select Save to add the jobs.

Jobs cannot be removed from a batch if counting has started.

Removing Jobs from a Batch

  1. Select one or more Open audit jobs that are in the same batch.
  2. Select Batch > Remove from batch.
  3. Confirm the action when prompted.

Jobs cannot be removed from a batch if counting has started.

Editing an Existing Batch

  1. Select audit jobs that are all part of the same batch.
  2. Select Batch > Edit existing batch.
  3. Update the batch fields:
    • Assign To: You can change the assigned user.
    • Priority: You can adjust the priority.
  4. Select Save to update the batch.

Batch Status and Restrictions

When a job is part of a batch:

  • The Assignee and Priority fields in the Edit Audit Job screen are disabled.
  • These values must be managed through the batch configuration.

Jobs must remain in the Open status to be included in a batch or to have their batch membership changed.

SmartScan Behavior for Batch Jobs

When you start counting a batch in SmartScan, the system:

  • Combines all associated locations into a single list.
  • Sorts the list by Pick Path if available, or by Location Name otherwise.
  • Prompts you to count all expected SKUs in each location.
  • After completing a count for a SKU, it prompts you to move to the next.
  • Let's you mark individual SKUs as SKU Not Present.

Audit Job List Behavior and Filters

In the job list:

  • Jobs assigned to the user are listed first, sorted by priority.
  • Unassigned jobs appear next, also sorted by priority.
  • Batch jobs display the same “Item” chip used for single-item audits.
  • If a job has been added to a batch, it no longer appears as an individual item in the job list.

When you select an Unassigned batch to begin counting, the system automatically assigns all jobs in that batch to you.
