November 11, 2020 – Minor Release Notes
Up to 2 hours of downtime anticipated between 20:00 and 22:00 PST (23:00 and 01:00 EST)
New + Improved
WMS-13417 – Manage Packaging (Prototype): We have created a page to replace "Define Packaging Materials", which is a legacy page currently available under Orders > Packaging Options. The new page is accessed via the side navigation menu's Prototype module and includes the following additions.
- Customer drop-down menu that lets you specify if a package definition is for use with a specific customer
- 'Unit Cost' field to specify the cost of the packaging associated with this package definition
- 'Mark Up Percent' + 'Mark Up Flat Rate' fields to specify a default mark-up to apply to the package definition when calculating the packaging cost for a given order
The above cost-related fields are used with a new Materials billing script that can auto-calculate packaging costs and assign them to each order transaction. To learn more, see Managing Packaging.
WMS-13418 – Billing Wizard: Added a new billing script to automatically calculate package costs for order transactions. The script works hand-in-hand with the new Manage Packaging page, where you can set packaging costs and default mark-ups used by the script to calculate packaging charges. The script is available under Billing Wizard > Per Transaction Billing > Shipping > Materials. The script name is "Package Material Fee".
Fixes
WMS-14508 – Create/Edit Order: Removed "Generate Master BOL" link from the Documents menu in Create/Edit Order since it's not applicable for a single order. Master BOL is still available to print from the Find Orders page.
WMS-14551 – Create/Edit Order: Resolved an issue for imported orders, in which ignored SKUs were erroneously being included in the newly created orders.
WMS-14718 – Label Exports: Addressed an issue where label export files were not displaying all order lines and track-by values correctly.
WMS-14874 – Find Orders: Corrected an issue that caused the grid to stop displaying the color-coding on rows to indicate that order's allocation status. Instead, the color only showed up in the "Row Number" column.
Known Issues
WMS-15058 – General: We are aware of an issue that occurs when accessing the system using the Safari browser with 1366 x 768 screen resolution, which causes the menus to not work as intended. As a friendly reminder, 3PL Central does not recommend accessing 3PL Warehouse Manager via Safari.
