Connecting Carriers to Providers
Small Parcel Suite allows you to connect carrier accounts directly to 3PL Warehouse Manager using a variety of label providers. These providers are companies that have partnered with Extensiv for the carrier integration and service capabilities required to comply with carrier requirements for shipping.
This article reviews the general process for setting up new carrier and provider connections.Â
- Click Create on the Small Parcel Settings page to open the New Carrier Connection window.Â
- Fill in the details for the fields for the carrier connection:
- Connection Type: Select whether this is a Warehouse or Customer connection type.Â
- Warehouse/Customer: Select the relevant warehouse or customer this connection is for.Â
- Carrier: Select which carrier you'd like to set up a connection for. For a full list of the carriers supported in Small Parcel Suite and specific connection guidelines, please see Small Parcel Carriers.
- Provider: Select the provider for the carrier. See the Providers section in this article below for the specific requirements some providers have.Â
- Toggle whether to include shipping cost for this connection by clicking the Include Shipping Cost option.
This option is automatically selected for warehouses and automatically deselected for customers. Make sure you double-check that this setting is correct beforeÂ
 - Click Next to proceed to connect to your selected carrier and provider accounts. Each carrier and provider have their own connection processes. Make sure you have your account information at the ready to finalize creating the connection.Â
Providers
When you connect your carrier account to 3PL Warehouse Manager on the Small Parcel Settings page, you are required to select your provider. Each label provider is briefly detailed below:
-
ShipEngine:Â These connections are available by default for all Small Parcel Suite customers, and you do not need to sign up for an account.
 -
BUKU Ship: When connecting your first account to BUKU Ship, you must enter your account credentials, which are provided by BUKU Ship directly. If you do not have an account, click Create New BUKU Ship Account to sign up.
 -
Pitney Bowes: To connect your first account to Pitney Bowes, please enter the nickname for the account, and then sign in.Â
- If you already have a Pitney Bowes account, create a new account in Small Parcel and contact your Pitney Bowes Representative to merge the new account with your existing account.
- You may choose the nickname based on your preference, for instance, Complete Retail Account. Moreover, the Shipper Rate Plan & Integrator Carrier ID are not required.
Please note that if you are interested in a shipping label provider that is not included in our Parcel API, contact your Customer Success Manager (CSM) to inquire about the opportunity of adding your desired partner into our ecosystem.
